Having organised a successful first ever International Seminar on Vedic Microbiology in 2007, Indian Foundation for Vedic Science takes a privileged pride to announce second in the series and first of its own type an International conference on ‘Ayurveda, Yoga, Medical Astrology, Panchkarma & Naturopathy for Complete Health Care and World Peace’ to be held in Delhi, India . Dates will be notified in the second circular.
Here it may be reminded that Ayurevda, Yoga and Naturopathy developed in India as scientific and spiritual tools for promoting health and long life among human beings. These disciplines are also relevant even for our modern world.
Today the whole world is grappling with manifold diseases and disturbances caused by religious, political and social conflicts. The food and drinking habits, toxicity in the body and life styles are the main cause of conflicts in human beings. Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy deliberate exhaustively on the food & drinking habits, life styles and detoxification of body leading to healthy body and mind of human-beings securing a disease free and peaceful world to live upon this globe. Thus the Complete Health Care and World Peace in today’s disturbed world can be secured only through the practice of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy.

Aim of the Conference :
This conference is organised with the following aims :
1. To promote the Vedic Concept of ‘Health for All’.
2. To create awareness at national and international level about the efficacy, cost-effectiveness and easy access to Ayurvedic, yogic and naturopathic treatment/therapy invented by the visionary seers of India in ancient times.
3. To teach people at large to lead the natural way of life, so that the can maintain their health and long life without the aid of medicine and various therapies.
4. Popularisation of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy among the rural folk of this country and the other developing or underdeveloped nations of the world to choose the Ayurvedic, yogic and naturopathic system of medicine and treatment for making disease free and peaceful world.
5. Dissemination of the proven results of research work carried by various Ayurvedic Vaidyas and scholars from time to time.
6. Providing a viable forum for the interaction and exchange of ideas among the stakeholders of civilisational knowledge in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy.
Keeping in view of the above moto, we invite papers from scholars on various aspects of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy. The tentative guidelines are given as under :
Call for Papers on Ayureda
We invite papers from distinguished scholars on Eight disciplines of Ayurveda treatment called Ashtanga Ayurveda, viz.
1. Surgery (Shalya-chikitsa)
2. Treatment of diseases above the clavicle (Salakyam)
3. Internal medicine (Kaaya-chikitsa)
4. Psychiatry (Bhuta vidya)
5. Paediatrics (Kaumarabhrtyam)
6. Toxicology (Agadatantram)
7. Prevention and building immunity (Rasayanam)
8. Aphrodisiacs (Vajikaranam)
Papers are also invited dealing with
1. Deva-vyapasraya (Medical Astrological) treatment : Deva-vyapasraya (Astrological) treatment is prescribed for Karmaja diseases or diseases born as a result of actions done in the past life.
2. Yukti-vyapasraya (Medicational) treatment : Yukti-vyapasraya (Medicational) treatment is prescribed for the treatment of Dosaja or diseases born as result of imbalance of three Dosas.
3. Panchkarma

Deadlines
Submission of Abstracts : Scholars are requested to submit the abstract of the papers.
Submission of Paper : Scholars are requested to submit their full paper.
Maharishi Charak Samman
The Governing body of IFVS has decided to award Maharishi Charak Samman to an Ayurvedic scholar/Vaidya who has contributed significantly towards the Ayurvedic research or treatment. All thsose scholars/Vaidyas who want to apply for this award should apply to The Secretary, Indian Foundation for Vedic Science, 1051, Sector-1, Rohtak-124001, Haryana, India with the details of his research findings. The panel of experts will go through the details of the research work carried out by the applicant and decide the application for the award of Maharsihi Charak Samman. The decision of the expert panel will be final and binding upon all. In addtion to it, there is a proposal to honour around 100 Ayurvedic, Yoga, Medical Astrology and Naturopathic experts with a Shwal and Silver Memento.

Registration is required to participate. Registration fee for Indian participants is Rs. 500.00 and USD 50.00 for foreign participants. Indian Foundation Coordinators are exempted from Registration.
